Low loss, high permeability, low temperature sinterable ceramic magnet for high frequency applications

Recently the requirement of the materials for the information and wireless communication, especially in the mobile and antenna technology has increased in both radio frequencies and microwave regions. In this project work the sintering characteristics of calcined hexagonal Co2-Y-type ferrite, Ba2-xLaxCo2-xMgxFe12O22 where x=0.0,0.1,0.2,0.3,0.4,0.5, were studied at various temperatures like 800oC,900oC,1000oC,1100oC,1200oC. The Phase analysis, Density determination, Dielectric constant, resistivity, Dielectric losses, saturation magnetization was investigated by using the X-ray diffraction analysis, field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) and vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM), impedance  analyzer(up to 15MHz). Analysis of these results shows its suitability in high frequency range. Further characterization of these prepared samples in Ku band frequencies (12 to 18 GHz) is under process.
