Design Innovation Centre project is working under 12th V Year Plan and introduced by NInC (National Innovation Council). Under this, the purpose of establishment of 20 Design Innovation centers in the entire country is. Its main aim is to Design in India, Make in India and Serve from India. It is working on HOB and SPOKE model under National Knowledge Network and National Design Innovation Network. This whole plan is running under Government of India – Education Department, Ministry of Human Resource and Development, New Delhi.
Design Innovation Centre is working on BHU and IIT (BHU) – HUB & SPOKE Model, where Design Innovation Centre, BHU and Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) are working as HUB partners and Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT) – Allahabad, Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) – Allahabad, University of Allahabad (UoA) – Allahabad are working as SPOKE partners.
Design Innovation Centre, BHU and IIT (BHU) are mainly working through various projects on Agriculture, Health, Computing & Language, Energy, Science & Technology and Environment sector’s Design and Innovation areas.
Yes, works/ projects can be done other then above–mentioned areas or related areas having possibilities and fulfilling the industrial as well as social concerns related to Design and Innovation.
Innovators may collect form from DIC office or will download it from DIC website (www.diciitbhu.com). Prudently read Guidelines/ Instructions before filling form, filled forms been approved and forwarded by authorities. Student’s projects need to be mentored by concern Institute/ Department/ School Teacher. Faculty members and Staff will work individually or with Co-PI’s. Completed form been submit at DIC office.
Project PI’s may submit their form any time of the working year. All projects will scrutinize by committee members at the end of the month and approved after the presentation of project by Project PI’s in front of the committee.
Banaras Hindu University registered students (U.G., P.G., Research and Diploma etc.) and any Faculty members/ Staff may submit projects from above mentioned areas.
Other then these you may submit projects on Social influences associated with Banaras Hindu University Students/ Faculty members/ Staff.

Yes, Students and Teachers will get Economic assistance from Centre as per norms. Maximum financial fund provided by DIC for Students is up to Rs Two Lakh and for Teachers it is up to Rs Five Lakh.
Yes, project related Industrial experts would provide any type of Industrial assistance.
