Development of advanced membrane for fuel cell.

In this project we are focused on the ion channel conduction in fluoropolymer using swift heavy ions of energy ~80 MeV and subsequent chemical etching of the selective amorphous latent track. Through channels will be fabricated and will be functionalized subsequently for better conduction and coverage of vacant space for limiting solvent (methanol) permeability across the membrane. Finally, an assembly of electrode will be performed and tested for their direct methanol fuel cell applications to show the efficacy of the novel hybrid membrane for fuel cell.
