Development of algal consortium and prototype for arsenic from rice field

Brief Description of Project

1. The project is proposed to identify arsenic tolerant algae and optimize the growth conditions of algal consortium
2. The algal consortium needs to be tested for arsenic removal under optimized conditions.
3. A working prototype will be constructed that will be used for arsenic removal with the use of algal consortium in simulated field conditions.

Deliverable

The project will finally lead to development of an algal consortium that can be used in a prototype for arsenic removal under field conditions.
